COMFORT ACCOUSTIC BACK QUIET AS AN EMPTY PLANE
One highly effective contribution to greater comfort through less noise is the new ANKER-C.A.B. (comfort acoustic backing) for aviation carpeting. The special design for aviation needs consists of a three dimensional weave that creates a high-density matrix of microscopic sound-absorbing cavities. This carpet backing acts like an “absorber net”, capturing noise (particularly impact noise) and prevents noise from spreading through the passenger compartment. In this way, ANKER-C.A.B. makes a major contribution to acoustically optimizing the interior, as well as acting as an excellent insulating layer to the under floor as well as any lower decks.
PRE SHRINKING STAYS TRIM
Some airlines face the problem that their carpets shrink while in use. ANKER has developed a process, which reduces the shrinkage to a minimum.
SOLUTION DYED THE HEART OF BRIGHTNESS
The solution dyed yarn has several strong advantages
- consistent color from length to length, no color differences at transitions
- excellent cleaning properties, even with chlorinated cleaning compounds
- hides dirt effectively due to trilobal fiber cross-section
- resistant to UV radiation and yellowing
- more environmentally friendly dyeing process – significantly reduced fresh water, waste water, energy and CO²
SELF-ADHESIVE BACKING
ANKER’s self-adhesive backing is designed for easy and faster fitting of carpeting in aircraft. As an option it comes with a protective foil that will make cutting and fitting even easier. After its useful life, any carpets with this backing can be removed without leaving the marks common with conventional adhesive tape, resulting in practically no residue at all.
DOUBLE-SIDED TAPE
In order to make replacing carpets significantly faster and prevent residues to be left on the floorboards after removal, ANKER provide double-sided adhesive tape. It comes with various properties: on the one side (facing the carpet) it has greater adhesive strength to ensure that the carpet will not come loose while in use. On the other side (facing the floor) it has an adhesive property ensuring that this tape can be removed without leaving any residue but also without it coming loose while in use.

In January 2021, ANKER and the Global Company Melchers have signed a partnership agreement for the sales of aircraft carpets in China. Through this partnership ANKER and Melchers will develop the ANKER Brand in China. Both companies established themselves early in the 19th century and have a shared vision on the future development of the business of aircraft carpets market in China.
Melchers has been active in the aviation industry through its business unit Melchers Aviation Technical Service (MATS), in China for over a decade. Today, MATS is the local agency of several well-known international aviation suppliers in China. Its product range extends from aircraft parts, and components, including cabin interiors, specialized tooling for Airbus and Boeing repairs through ground support equipment (GSE) to IFS supplied products. The customer base consists mainly of aircraft manufacturers (OEMs), airlines, maintenance service companies (MROs), aircraft leasing companies, and other service providers in the aviation industry in China.
