On July 2nd, the annual Greater China Day event was held at the conference center of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Stuttgart. The event was organized by the German Chamber of Commerce Greater China (AHK).
During panels, talking rounds and workshops, member of the board of directors of the AHK, high-ranking company representatives and experts shared their experiences and opinions on the current development of the Chinese economy and German business in China. Main topics this year were Digital China, skilled labor shortage, the Belt and Road Initiative and the Greater Bay Area. The main part of the conference was opened with a keynote speech on the German-Chinese relations by Mr. Reinhard Bütikofer, MEP and Vice Chair of the China-Delegation of the European Parliament. Afterwards, Mr. Bjoern Lindner, Managing Director Melchers Hong Kong, informed the more than 150 participants about recent business development trends and experiences of the Melchers Group in Greater China as a panelist. During the conference, the participants were able to engage in discussions with the present Melchers Group representatives and received consultations and advises on their business in China.
